
Der er interviews online med Shout Out Louds og Stars i dag. To bands der har det tilfælles, at de godt kan finde ud af at skrue en trist kærlighedssang sammen. Det kommer også til udtryk i begge interviews.
Shout Out Louds taler med Filter, hvor bandets guitarist og sanger, Adam Olenius, blandt andet kommenterer på de utallige sammenligninger med The Cure:
“The Cure is a great group to be compared to. We’ve got that from the first album because my voice had that kind of…I don’t know…I wanted to sound like Neil Young, but it’s just my high pitch. What I like about the Cure is how they can mix a very dark side with something that’s also very uplifting.”
Amy Millan fra Stars har talt med Canadiske Jam. Hun afslører, at hun ikke har meget kærlighed til overs for gamle Walt Disney:
“There’s this Hallmark idea of what love is, and it’s false, There’s this hilarious idea in life that we’re supposed to be happy — I don’t know if it happened with the evils of Walt Disney, this happily-ever-after idea that everything ends when you walk down the aisle. But that’s a very dangerous idea, because you’re going to be disappointed.”
