Årtiet lakker så småt mod enden, og i den anledning har Frekvens kigget tilbage på de bedste plader fra perioden 2000 – 2009. Alle redaktionens medlemmer har således indleveret deres top 25 lister over årtiets plader, og de er nu blevet regnet sammen til Frekvens’ definitive top 60 over årtiets bedste albums.
Ikke mindre end 145 albums har været med i overvejelserne, men Arcade Fires debut endte med at blive den suveræne vinder, af et i øvrigt utroligt stærkt felt. Death Cab For Cutie forsangeren Ben Gibbards hyggeprojekt The Postal Service rendte med 2. pladsen, blandt andet foran to Death Cab plader, mens bronzevinderne fra The Shins tilgengæld kan glæde sig over at have to albums i top 10. Endelig kan det meddeles at evigt produktive Ryan Adams er repræsenteret på listen ikke mindre end 4 gange, og det endda uden at tælle Demolition som endte på en skuffende 144. plads.
